General Information

Allen Veterinary Hospital is a full-service hospital offering preventative medical treatment and consultation, routine checkups, surgical procedures and laboratory analysis. Our clinic is prepared to help your dog, cat, bird or exotic pet stay healthy and happy. We offer the following services:

  • Small animal and avian medicine and surgery
  • Preventative medicine
  • Check-ups and consultations
  • Nutritional foods and supplements
  • Grooming and Boarding
  • You are encouraged to call the office (260-744-4121) with any questions concerning the care of your pet


    Hours and Appointments


    Our normal business hours are:

    • Monday 8:00-12:00 and 2:00-7:00

    • Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri 8:00-12:00 and 2:00-6:00

    • Saturday 8:00-12:00

    • Our hospital requires appointments only for surgeries, grooming, and boarding. For office visits of a routine nature or for a sick pet, we operate on a walk-in basis. We feel this gives you excellent service and the ability to use our services at your convenience.


    Boarding

                Reservations are required for boarding. For the safety of all pets in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up-to-date. Animals requiring veterinary attention (such as defleaing, deworming, etc.) will be taken care of at the owner's expense. All pets are discharged during normal business hours Monday through Saturday.

    Grooming

                Linda Harmeyer-Adams has been grooming animals at Allen Veterinary Hospital since 1971. Appointments need to made in advance for cat and dog grooming. Avian grooming is available without an appointment.

    Payment and Fees

                Payment is expected at the time services are rendered. We accept personal checks, Master Card, Visa, and Discover. We understand that pet care expenses are often unplanned.
